Get Passionate About the Word of God
When God’s Word is neglected, destruction follows—but when it’s honored, He responds. This message calls us back to a passionate pursuit of Scripture—not just reading it, but allowing it to shape and mold us. We are called to know His Word deeply, to be formed by it, and to let it lead every area of our lives. Hosea says that God’s people perish for lack of knowledge—not just information, but an experiential knowledge of Him. It’s through knowing Him intimately that we develop a holy fear, a reverence, an admiration, and a deep desire to pursue Him passionately.
King Solomon understood this when he asked for wisdom—not wealth or power—but wisdom to lead God’s people well. And King Josiah responded to the Word with immediate repentance, tearing his robes when he realized how far the people had strayed. God promises to hear, forgive, and heal when His people humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their ways.
His Word is not just our lifeline—it’s our armor and our strength in Him. Without it, we are unarmed and unanchored. Let this be a wake-up call: return to the Word, let it transform you, protect you, and reignite your love for the One who created you and knows you.
